Celebrating Every Day

Updated: Nov 26, 2021

My birthday this year was the amazing! I began the celebration on March 13, 2021 as I launched a 45 day celebration until I marked the conclusion of my 45th trip around the Sun. It's the first I've ever heard of anyone having a celebration like this. However, I was inspired by the amazing transition that I have been making over the past two years of my life. I desire to celebrate every day because I am conscious of what a gift the present truly is.

I created a private online group and shared regular updates with friends and family who chose to join that group and celebrate along with me. My goal was to encourage everyone to become more conscious of caring for themselves so I had cohosts who posted positive motivational messages and who provided opportunities for guests to buy gifts for themselves with their gift to me being the benefits by profit from each gift. As an entrepreneur I value the support of my business efforts much more than an outright gift because my desire is to give to others through the products and services I provide through MarimorLife LLC and Mary Kay.

When my birthday finally came along I had only planned to spend the time in self care spa mode by myself but I was pleasantly surprised when family and friends reached out and even made plans to celebrate my birthday with me. Suddenly I had to get dressed up to go out and there were pictures and gifts of appreciation but even more so there were sentimental expressions of love that I will never ever forget.

On day one, there was a surprise brunch with my family and a surprise lunch with my boyfriend. Later in the day, I had the privilege of conducting my first youth financial education session. Then finally, there was a meeting for to prep for a speaking engagement that I'm participating in where the amazing Les Brown will be the headliner. When I think about how I’ve had to regain my voice over the past two years, coming to the point of having been invited to speak on the same stage with one of my motivational idols is only confirmation that doing the work is absolutely worth it.

On day 2, I finally got to do my spa day and I enjoyed dinner with friends. On day 3, I got back into my work routine and I accomplished my financial goal for the day. On day 4, I focused on making connections for my business and recruited clients for my next seminar. I can’t tell you how great it feels to be checking off so many boxes. I’ve chosen to focus on the positive because I know that which you give energy will give back to you. I want to keep celebrating every single day of my life, commemorating significant events that provide a foundation and building blocks for continued productivity and progress.

The celebration came to a grand finale on the evening of April 30, 2021 with a LIVE event party celebration with my girls in my private group. Throughout this celebration there have been a few of my favorite things, including: flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry banana pancakes, mushroom masala, balloons, and cake. There were singing phone calls and online messages wishing me a happy birthday for days an end.

I am so grateful to everyone who reached out to show me love during this time. I didn't know how much I needed that. I would have been fine all by myself but I'm glad the universe surrounded me with the love from family, friends, and colleagues who have reaffirmed my efforts to heal and be whole so that I could enjoy these amazing relationships and contribute to serving others from a cup that is overflowing in abundance and peace.

I will continue to celebrate every day and I’m looking forward to next years birthday celebration as I continue to grow in love and maturity.

I am enough, I have enough, I do enough, God is my provider….Ase.
